Working Bee - December... take2

It looks as though the weather will be kinder to us next Saturday, so we'll have the last working bee of the year and our Christmas lunch on that day.

Meet at the Ayliffes Road car park at 8.50 am or at the work site. We'll be working at the southern end of the park in the creek line near the Sewer Easement Track following up on any olive seedlings or regrowth in the areas we have previously cleared and dealing with new olives and other weeds close to native vegetation. The trailer will be on the Sewer Easement Track near the point where the Grey Box Loop Trail crosses the creek.

After the end of the working bee we'll hold our Christmas lunch at Eden Hills from 1pm.  Meat is being provided. Bring your own drinks, a salad, sweet, cake or other dish to share and a chair. If you haven't already RSVP'd, please use the details provided in the email to members, so we know how many to expect.

Hoping to see you there.

We'll be working once more on woody weeds near the creek line to the north of the Sewer Easement Track at the southern end of the park. The trailer will be on the Sewer Easement Track near the weed front.

There will be an opportunity to discuss the updates to the trail network in the park at morning tea time. (DEWNR has obtained Commonwealth funding to upgrade and rationalise the trails network in the park, has had initial discussions with the Committee and has provided a map of the new trails network. Many of the unsustainable mountain bike trails will be closed and a small number of new trails will be formed, but most of the network will consist of existing trails with some modifications to make them more sustainable and usable. Contractors will be employed for the construction. There will be a significant number of mountain bike trails in Zone 5. Other trails will be shared walking, cycling and some horse-riding trails.)
